When configured withftl config --aws, snapshots are stored in S3:
Snapshot Lifecycle
- Created - When
ftl codecompletes a task - Listed - View with
ftl snapshots - Restored - Apply changes to working directory (via FTL shell)
- Cleaned - Delete with
ftl snapshots clean
Working with Snapshots in FTL Shell
When using the interactiveftl shell, additional snapshot commands are available:
Best Practices
- Review snapshots regularly and clean up old ones to save disk space
- Use
--project-onlywhen cleaning to avoid deleting snapshots from other projects - Always review the snapshot list before confirming deletion (unless using
-y) - Keep important snapshots by not including them in bulk deletion
